Welcome to MIRATS!
This is the homebase for the Michigan Radio Amateurs Technological Society, callsign: WE8CHZ – An FCC registered amateur radio club.
The society is primarily geared towards Michigan residents, but is open to all who wish to participate. It has a general focus on the exploration of radio technologies, the use of technology in practical applications, and other offshoots of the radio hobby depending on the mood.
We’re an Internet-based society, meaning that there is no regional or geographical home location within Michigan. We meet and socialize primarily on Discord, but can also be found and contacted via Facebook.
You’ll often find our members on the IRA Linked Repeater System (w8ira.org), W8BCI in Lansing (w8bci.org), as well as other area repeaters like WM-CONNECT on Wires-X.
