KB9VBR has recently released a video in which he demonstrates the use of elevated radials with a vertical antenna. The setup, geared toward POTA activators, uses tuned elevated radials, along with an elevated vertical antenna to “Limit your ground losses and eliminate the Earth inconsistency variables”. While he doesn’t get into the weeds on the details of how all this works, it is an interesting look at improving on a vertical antenna system for field work. Check out the video here below:
